WEEKEND THOUGHTS

All the way my Saviour leads me, what I have to ask beside. The Lord thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that you  went, until you came into this place. I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: so the LORD alone did lead him.

Even to your old age I am He; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him and the Lord shall cover him all the day long. This God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,  which cannot be removed,  but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

The LORD is our keeper: the LORD is our shade upon our right hand. The sun shall not smite us by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve us from all evil. The LORD shall preserve our going out and our coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

He has promised perfect rest to me in my Father’s house above: when my spirit, clothed, immortal, wings its flight to realms of day. This is my song through endless ages, My Lord led me all the way. Hitherto hath the LORD helped us and will continue to help us thro’ out 2020.

Have a blessed weekend with every blessing  for the New year.

WEEKEND THOUGHTS

Blessed be the everlasting God, the Father of our Lord Jesus  Christ be praised for His abounding mercy, His majesty be adored. When from the dead He raised His Son with exceeding greatness of His Power and His might which is available for those who believe. God raised Him and exalted Him far above all and crowned Him with glory and occupied a place of honour and authority. He is seated and clothed with a garment down to the foot and girt about the breasts  with a golden girdle in all His dignity.

His resurrection and exaltation gave us a blessed hope. In fact, He has begotten us again unto a living hope. It is truly an encouraging hope, transforming hope, purifying hope, courageous hope and comforting hope. Above all, Christ the hope of glory dwelleth in us.

Saints by the power of God are kept and  we walk by faith as strangers here, but Christ shall come and call us home in glory. When our loved ones will rise first, we who remain shall join them and will be gathered together unto the Lord in glory. The very first time , we will behold His glorious face and will become like Him. So, we shall be transformed morally and physically for we shall see Him as He is. Then, no more separation, but always with the Lord and we will experience unhindered fellowship, being together at and around the Tree of Life, Christ up in glory.

And God has fixed the happy day,

When the last tear shall dim our eyes,  When He will wipe these tears away. And fill our hearts with glad surprise.To hear His voice, and see His face, And know the fullness of His grace. When sin no more obstructs the sight, And flesh and sense deceive no more, When we shall see the prince of light, And all His works of grace explore;

What heights and depths of love divine. Will there through endless ages shine! What will it be to dwell above, And with the Lord of glory reign? Since the blest knowledge of His love. So brightens all this dreary plain; No heart can think, no tongue can tell. What joy ’twill be with Christ to dwell….Because, we have fullness of joy in the presence of the Lord and at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Have a blessed Christo-Centeric Lord’s day with every blessing.

WEEKEND THOUGHTS

We live in a world of conflict. The conflict between light and darkness. The children of Israel pitched before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.

Thus saith the LORD, because the Syrians have said, the LORD is a God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD. And they pitched one over against the other seven days; and so it was, that in the seventh day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand footmen in one day. — Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. You do  not fear them, the Lord shall fight for you. .. battle belongeth unto the Lord. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. They shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee. Have a blessed weekend.

WEEKEND THOUGHTS

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. PEACE is more than joy, and is far deeper than happiness. It is that restful sense that all is well which comes from confiding in the word of God. Christ Jesus is called “ the Lord of peace.” He is the only Man who ever walked through this world of conflict, conflict between light and darkness, yet He walked in perfect peace at all times – until in Gethsemane He faced the judgement He was to bear when taking the sinner’s place upon the cross. As a result of that work peace has been made between God and the needy sinner, a peace which is entered into by faith alone.But there is not only peace with God which has to do with the sin question which has been settled forever. The peace of God is poured daily into the heart that learns to commit all to Him in prayer. There is calm – the calm of sins forgiven. Through knowing sin on Christ by God was laid; and looking upon Him and resting on His merit and knowing that our debt He fully paid. And there is a calm about the unknown future; the earthly road; the fuller life above; And things unknown here and in life’s hereafter- Vex not the soul who knows that God is Love.

Have a peaceful weekend with every blessing from above.

WEEKEND THOUGHTS

ABBA FATHER, Thou art our help and our deliverer; make no tarrying, Oh God.. We will lift up our eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh our help. Our help cometh from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. We read in thy word that the steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and thou delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.The LORD shall preserve our going out and our coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.  In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. Who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; and forgettest the LORD thy maker? I am with thee to deliver thee. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power; yea, we will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been our defense and refuge in the day of our trouble. The Lord is good and stronghold in the day of our trouble. Oh Lord, Thou art our hiding place; thou shalt preserve us from trouble; thou shalt compass us about with songs of deliverance. Our blessed God remember us for good and keep us close to Thee and keep us from falling.

“I will praise my dear Redeemer,

His triumphant power I’ll tell;

How the victory He giveth

Over sin, and death, and Hell.”

Have a blessed weekend.

Jesus--A "Mingled" Person

Bible Verses

Luke 1:31  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and
bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus.  (35)  And the
angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come
upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you;
therefore also the holy thing which is born will be called
the Son of God.

Words of Ministry

The Lord’s two essences were not merely added together;
rather, in the conception of the Man-Savior the divine
essence and the human essence were mingled. Some who
misunderstood this mingling said that it caused a third
nature to be produced, something which is neither divine nor
human. To say that with respect to the Lord Jesus…is
heretical. However, we wish to make it clear that this is not
our understanding of the word “mingle.” We agree with the
first definition of this word given in Webster’s Unabridged
Dictionary: mingle–“to combine or join (one thing with
another, or two or more things together), especially so that
the original elements are distinguishable in the
combination.” According to this definition, when two or more
things are mingled together, their original natures are not
lost but remain distinguishable.

We may use tea as an illustration of mingling. When tea is
mingled with water to make a beverage, neither the essence of
tea nor the essence of water is lost. Instead, both essences
remain…they do not produce a third nature, something which
is neither tea nor water. Our Savior was conceived of the
divine essence and born of the human essence. Therefore, He
is a Person with two essences–the divine and the human–mingled
together without a third nature being produced.
Although the Lord has two essences, He is still a single
complete Person, One who is both God and man.

Divine Attributes and Human Virtues

Bible Verses

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. (14) And the Word became flesh…
Luke 9:22 Saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things, and
be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and
be killed, and on the third day be raised.

Words of Ministry

As the Man-Savior, the Lord Jesus possesses both the divine
nature with its divine attributes and the human nature with
its human virtues. The divine attributes are related to what
God is and has [e.g. love, light, holiness, righteousness,
etc.]. We cannot speak exhaustively concerning the attributes
of God. But we can say that the Lord Jesus possessed the
nature of God with all the divine attributes.

Here we are using “attributes” in relation to God and
“virtues” in relation to man. Because the Lord Jesus was
conceived of the Holy Spirit with the divine essence, He
possesses the divine nature with the divine attributes.
Because He was born of a human virgin with the human essence,
He possesses the human virtues. Therefore, while He was on
earth, He lived a life that was both human and divine. He was
a Man living a human life, but in that human life the divine
attributes were expressed.

According to John 1:1 and 14, in the beginning was the Word,
the Word was God, and this Word, which is God, became flesh.
God became flesh to live a life expressing Himself in
humanity. In John we see God expressing Himself in humanity;
in Luke we see a Man expressing God in His human living. As
this Man lived on earth, in His living God’s attributes were
expressed. In the Man-Savior man and God, God and man, are
mingled to form a composition full of the divine attributes
and the human virtues.
