Our Beliefs

We believe in One God the maker of heaven and earth, of things visible and invisible, the Almighty and Triune God eternally existent as three distinct persons co-equal and same in essence – Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

 

We believe in The Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten and not made. He is of the very same nature of the Father and by Him all things came into being, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. For the salvation of humanity He came down from heaven, was incarnate, fully God and fully man, born of virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit. Having lived a perfect and holy life He suffered, was crucified, was buried, rose again bodily on the third day, ascended into heaven, sat at the right hand of the Father. He is to come again in glory to establish His millennial kingdom on earth and to judge the living and the dead.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Saviour of humankind.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the God-head, co-equal with the Father and Son, who spoke through the Law, prophets, and Gospels, preached through the apostles, and live in every believer and distributes gifts to all believers in the church according to His will, for the benefit of all.

We believe in the Bible to be the inerrant in the autographs, divinely inspired, infallible, supreme and only authoritative written Word of God. It is also final in its authority in matters of faith and practice in all aspects of life. We believe in the plenary and verbal inspiration of the Bible consisting of only 66 books with 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.

We believe that Humankind created by God in His own image and likeness fell into sin by disobedience and has become separated from God. Salvation for mankind is by grace alone by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as the only personal Lord and Saviour.

We believe that Salvation is only by repentance for sin and faith in Jesus Christ. And this results in a changed life that is marked by holy living and according to God’s will.

We believe in the One Universal and Holy Church, consisting of believers from the Pentecost day to the Pre-millennial Coming of Christ who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour in faith and have been baptized into one body by the Holy Spirit, irrespective of nationality, caste and the Christian group with which they are affiliated and the local churches are the current manifestations of it.

We believe that Christian Life in essence is leading a life that brings glory and honour to God. Loving God with our heart, soul, spirit and mind and serving fellow human beings with care and compassion are inherent parts of Christian life.

We believe that the Kingdom of God will be the millennial rule of Christ on earth, when every force that resists God will be defeated. While God is sovereign over the whole universe, the Kingdom of God is currently manifest in the spiritual realm among believers, who have accepted the salvation offer and lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives and will be consummated when Christ returns to the earth in all glory.

We believe in the resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed by Christ and the eternal punishment of those, who reject the offer of salvation and that just as the reward is conscious, so is the punishment.
